How to read the MMGL Handguard page

TODO: localization. This section is a shared placeholder for every attachment, not a review of this one.

This page is a field reference for one attachment. Every figure is copied from the public game files for one Steam build. The page does not rank parts, and it does not fill a gap with a guess. When a cell says the value is not in the game files, the record has no such field. An empty cell is not a zero. A zero is shown only when the files stored a zero.

A modifier is an attribute, an operation, and a value. Add adds the value. Override replaces the attribute. Multiply and multiply compound scale it: 1.1 means 10 percent more than the starting number, and 0.84 means 16 percent less. The amber signed figure is that change. For a scale, it is the percent away from 1. For an add, it is the value itself, with its sign. An override is a replacement, so this page prints the stored number in the signed column as a replacement rather than a plus or minus against a weapon. Several multiply compound modifiers on the same attribute multiply together. The order is the order in the flattened modifier file. Within one attachment the weapon modifiers stay ahead of the character modifiers, and the rows inside one attachment are not re-sorted. Order matters when an override is in the list.

Whether a weapon slot accepts the part is read from that weapon's slot rules. The attachment fits when the slot names its id, or when one of its context tags equals a context the slot lists or is a longer sub-tag of that context. A blocked id or a blocked tag wins. Ids are compared without regard to case. A slot that lists no item and no context accepts nothing. That includes a BlockPriority slot whose allow lists are empty. The dataset's own slot check works this way, and this page uses that check. It does not treat BlockPriority as an invitation to every attachment in the catalog. Many muzzles, handguards, and magazines are not named by any weapon slot in this build. The fit table then says so. It does not invent a gun that will take the part. Hidden slots are included and marked. The game does not show those slots to the player. They are still in the files.

The magazine block is null when the record does not store capacity. A record whose category is Magazine can still have a null magazine block. That null is shown as missing. Capacity is not guessed. An empty context list is marked missing too.

The paragraphs in this section are a shared placeholder. They explain how to read the page. They are not a review of this specific attachment, and they are marked for localization. Korean and English carry the same explanation. Every other language falls back to English until a translation is added. Names are the display names stored in the files.

This page is not affiliated with Bulkhead or Team17. The numbers come from the warpuppies/wardogs-data repository, which is released under the Unlicense. When you cite a figure, cite the game build in the header.

Questions

Why is a cell blank?

The attachment entry in the game files does not contain that field. A blank cell is not a zero. A zero appears only when the files stored a zero.

Why does no weapon list this attachment?

No slot in this build names its id or an allowed context tag, after blocks are applied. An empty fit table is not a claim that every weapon accepts the part.

What does a multiplier of 1.1 mean?

It scales the attribute by 1.1, which is 10 percent more. Several multiply compound modifiers on the same attribute multiply together. Override order follows the flattened modifier file for game build 25937608.
